Welcome to Severnlea State School!
We are a happy, busy and active school and very proud of our long 104 year history in the rural community to the south of Stanthorpe in Queensland's famous Granite Belt.
Located just off the New England Highway and neighbouring the award winning Whiskey Gully Winery, our school has a warm, country setting where kangaroos are a daily sight each morning in the school grounds as they feed on our grass.
We provide outstanding opportunites for students of all ability levels and offer an inclusive educational environment for learning. Our teaching and non-teaching staff are commited professionals who work tirelessly to ensure our students achieve to the best of their ability, and beyond.
What drives us at Severnlea State School includes:
- A belief that:
- All students can achieve high standards given the right time and support.
- All teachers can teach to high standards given the right assistance.
- High expectations and early intervention are essential.
